Set in a stylish converted farmhouse in France, this comedy centres around a happily married couple Jacqueline and Bernard or are they? Bernard is hoping to play host to his sophisticated French mistress Suzie for the weekend, having safely dispatched his equally attractive wife Jacqueline off to her mothers for a couple of days. To act as his alibi he also invites his best friend Robert along and a Corden Bleu cook from a local catering agency (coincidentally named Suzie) to provide the gourmet delights. Thus the perfect weekend is planned. Unfortunately for Bernard, he neglects to tell Robert the purpose of his invitation and also is completely unaware that Robert and Jacqueline have been secret lovers for some time. When Jacqueline takes a phone call from the catering agency and discovers that Robert's arrival is imminent, she makes excuses for not going to her mothers, leaving Bernard and Robert to fast talk their way out of the ever deepening pit they find themselves slipping rapidly into.

Vicki has portrayed Jacqueline on numerous occasions and made the role her own. She's performed the play in summer seasons in Bournemouth and Jersey and toured it extensively both in the UK and abroad for such prestigious producers as Ian Dickens, Chris Moreno and the late Mark Furness. Co-stars have included; Lionel Blair, Robert Duncan and David Callister as the thwarted adulterous husband, Les Dennis, Fraser Hines and Giles Watling as the fast thinking bewildered lover, Su Pollard, Sue Hodge, Sally Ann Matthews, Carol Harrison, Glenda Mckay and Marti Caine as the whacky cook with the business head of Richard Branson and Amanda Humphrey, Melanie Stace and Mandy Perryment as the beautiful model mistress.

Vicki's most recent UK  tour with this play took place in the summer and autumn of 2002 and 2003 receiving rave reviews throughout, however her most recent performances in the role of Jacqueline have been on board the P&O Cruise Liner Oriana where she has entertained audiences while visiting such exotic destinations as Samoa, Tonga, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

Reviews

Local Press

Vicki Michelle superb as the duplicitous wife.

Richmond & Twickenham Times

Robert Duncan, Vicki Michelle & Giles Watling excelled themselves to deliver the laughs in this most difficult form of humour.

Local Press

Vicki Michelle packs a powerful punch.

Local Press

I half expected Allo Allo veteran Vicki Michelle to run on in short skirt speaking pigeon French. Instead she played scorned and adulterous wife Jacqueline with a plummy English accent and great aplomb.

The Stage

Vicki Michelle was in delectable form.

Woking Review

Vicki Michelle was an excellent foil as Jacqueline and brought depth and dignity to a somewhat understated role.

Bournemouth Echo

Requiring split second timing and a huge amount of stage craft, it could not be in better hands than with this team of TV favourites led by Vicki Michelle, Robert Duncan & Giles Watling.

Evening Post

Attractive Vicki Michelle played the straight man in fine style. Skilfully she set up one comic situation and comedy line after another.

Essex County Standard

Michelle succeeds in making the character formidable enough to command authority while endowing her with enough humour and vulnerability to prevent her becoming the stock marital dragon.
